Blazer

Vincent mentioned a patch earlier, and now you've got it! Thanks to everyone on the team's hard efforts we've come up with a much-improved menu patch from the last one I released over a year and a week ago! If you've visited the blog once every week or so you've probably seen how our progress is going, but if not, check out the Videos and Screenshots pages up above, as I've updated them with out latest progress.

Nothing's stopping you from going up ahead and downloading the patch right now--just click on "Downloads" up above! Here's the README with some more information and whatnot for those who aren't going to see the README in the patch download or for those who just want the information:

  2. same comment from me as on SF:
Could you please also provide the raw text files in addition to the patch? (So I can insert them directly using DSlazy)
I'm using an edited rom so the patch won't quite work.

(If you are wondering why I don't want to use the original over the edited, I made Emporer, Barbarian, and Shadow Dragon usable classes. It freezes when you hover your curser over one of those classes in the unedited rom)

  7. The patch looks very good, but as I said before, I'll wait for the dialogues translated.

  8. Any chance at patches/alternative patches that are compatible with macs? Batch files don't work for them, and im over here excited and now im all sad face.

In all seriousness though, this is awesome, wether there's a mac version or not, great to see this for the community!

  9. -_- come on guys, read the FAQ. We're going for a complete translation. Of course that includes the story! =D

I'll look into it but I don't know how. I want to accomodate Mac users but it's really hard, especially when it comes to hacking-related programs... I can't use programs like NUPS, which are multi-platform, because they'll result in patches so large you'd think I was sending you the ROM (which of course I wouldn't do). >___>

  10. As long as I can play it on my Mac in English, I'm satisfied :)

Are you guys going to actually send a link to this to Nintendo? Cuz that would be cool if it did something.

  11. No, where did you get that idea?

Chances are someone in Nintendo probably knows about it, if they actually decide to release this in English I'm quitting in an instant and deleting all traces of the translation if I need to, but otherwise we're just going to stay separate to be safe.

  12. great work guys!! keep it up!!

  13. @Blazer
I can understand the issue behind not using NUPS. While I'm not totally opposed to a large patch, it's completely up to you. Either way, this is totally awesome, and I'm sure I'll find a way to play it anyways.

  14. I'll make a quick post regarding the issue, thanks for bringing it up.

  15. Hey, I'm getting an error when attempting to run the patch:

xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT

I'm using a clean ROM and everything seems to be there.... any idea of how to fix this error?
