Main Menu Graphics COMPLETE!

Blazer

Man, if only you guys knew how hard I worked/raged on this, you'd feel just how EPIC this breakthrough is. Now that I've FINALLY figured out all the details to these images I can FINALLY move on with getting more menus translated.

I have tested them and they all work great. I'll be slowly ripping the rest of the menu graphics now so that Zak, our awesome graphics editor, can keep up the awesome work.

Also please don't forget about the post below on transcripts V I kinda HAD to make a separate post on this leaving the other post to be unnoticed, sorry.

  1. Bravo, just 1 question, which means the text on the upper screen?

  2. The text on the upper screen says "File Menu." That being the horrible ugly direct translation.

  5. We'll likely translate it as "Main Menu" for aesthetical purposes. Rest assured we plan on translating it later, takes some time to do this though. XP

  8. Wow, this project is incredible. I've never seen such diligence and hard work put forth into a translation. If only this type of inspiration was applied to some other translation projects.

Nintendo has no idea what they're missing out on. The Fire Emblem fanbase is devoted.

  9. Will that text at the top be translated in the final release, or will it remain Japanese?

  10. Blazer said 4 comments before you that it''s gonna be translated later.

PD. Blazer, sorry if it sounds like: translate it now!!! but english is not my native language so there are a few things that is hard to express in my usual tone XD

yes, it will be *near perfect*, but not perfect, since ultimately nothing is perfect. we're doing everything we can do, i.e. we're not purposefully being lazy (...usually) and we're attempting to do the best that we can, but naturally we sometimes fall short.

2-3 months, I don't know, dialog will probably take more time to translate, especially with only like, 1.5 translators ATM. We're looking into getting more translators to speed up the process though...

and it'd be awesome if I could get hired by Intelligent Systems or even Nintendo (Nintendo is such a big company though I might get stuck producing or translating crappy games, haha) buuuut I don't think it'll happen XD

check the comment before this one or my last comment, they both answer your question XD

no problem, I try and be understanding, language barriers are hard to deal with after all. I just came from a foreign country so the problems of language barriers are fresh in my memory, heheh

  12. I'm looking forward to this. When the entire patch is translated (hopefully), then maybe I can try out the latest version of the patch. ;D

1.5 translators ? well a month is more than enough if you have like 3 or 4 hours a day just to translate the game and the whole team have a place (in real life) to meet in and work however I am sure that no one is lifeless enough to work 3 or 4 hours a day for a month for free and that you guys don't live in the same neighborhood so its gonna take a while

well they lose time translating and debuging ; ROM hackers are better then pros at debuging and editing

  15. I know you might not feel like this is a well known project right now, but when this is done i'm pretty sure alot of people are going to download and enjoy this translation. Much gratitude to the team of hackers/translators!
