Base Conversation & Misc. Progress Display

Blazer

Shows graphics and base convos (betas) in action. Description says:

"Please read the opening messages. Please do not report mistakes in the scripts yet. They are being worked on, wait until we've gone through and fully proofed them first before reporting them.

Note that this is just a progress display to show some things like the graphics, base conversations, and general stuff. I meant to show at the end that a dialog bug was fixed but I accidentally hit enter, so meh, whatever."

Take that into mind; please don't comment on the proofing yet, we know it has tons of errors. However we need some motivation and that includes us posting progress which gives us a false sense of accomplishment. XD

Special thanks to TheEnd and Zak for all their hard work on translating and graphic editing respectively. I can't give them enough props. There's also NomadicTrooperGirl who has also helped with graphics and proofing. And everyone knows VincentASM is doing awesome stuff 24/7. Arch and I are just losers... I just update and manage shit and occasionally do some hacking now adays...

EDIT: Potential localizers should be receiving an e-mail or PM later today. Sorry for the delay, we're just finishing off the application. XP

EDIT2: The e-mail has been sent. If you did not receive it or want to sign up anyway, please post your e-mail, as it is not too late. See the added note a couple posts down for more information. Thank you.

EDIT3: Sorry for all the edits I've been hard at work haha, I updated the screenshots and videos page to reflect some more progress our personal version of the patch has made, even if it's not in the current download...

  9. I have also edited the text and answered the questions and emailed it back to you (and yes this is Illumio0000 from before, just now decided to activate a blogger account since I was consistently commenting here all the time)

  11. I just saw this little project for the first time and being a huge FE fan, I look forward to your work guys! :) Great job so far I must say!

  12. Really looking forward to the more finished work, and the game really seems worth the wait.

  13. Release a beta (that doesn't even exist mind you)? Pssssh, no wai

  14. I believe there was a poll (around when the project first started) on whether the patch should be released bit by bit or as a whole at the end, and the lot of us chose "at the end". :]

    Just saying, lol.

  15. I believe there was but even so it'd have taken a LOT of complaining and whining--like 80% of the vote--to get us to not do what we're doing, part of being professional means waiting for the completion of the final product, I think. I mean, imagine if people released foods in the middle of tasting and you got a "beta cereal" that tasted like crap. Bleh. That'd suck IMO. XD

  16. Beta cereal? Ooh, sounds tasty. Can I have some? xDD

  17. am dying here.....keep up the hard work you guy putting though this.

  18. Could you tell us % project completion, roughly?

    ReplyDelete
  19. We don't have such statistics yet. We still aren't fun enough in to give that stuff, it could be anywhere from 1 to 10% so I really can't say... and even then that wouldn't accurately reflect how close we are to completing because some parts go quicker than others. :\

    ReplyDelete
  20. Say it's an undefined percent. Since your dividing by zero and what not.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Don't get where I divided by 0 but uh okay...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well since you don't have any idea as to what a good percentage number for progress would be for this project, then you can say it's undefined. And the only way to get an undefined number (mathematically) is if you divide by 0.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's quite incorrect, there are plenty of ways to get undefined numbers, you can get the root number of a negative and the answer will be an imaginary number, also various operations with potentials can give undefined values between a specific set of answers. for example the square root of 4 is undefined between 2 answers -2 and 2.
    (-2x-2=4/2x2=4)

  24. Math aside you said what you meant to say with rather poor wording but I'm too lazy to correct it (sorry if this offends you I'm just being my blunt self XP).

  25. @Anonymous

I know that. Yet who would want to remember that the secant of (3pi/2) is undefined or that the cotangent of (pi/2) is also undefined?

Also with the square root of 4 you only took the principal root. In math you take both the positive and negative root by default unless otherwise specified due to a domain restriction.

Also with the roots of imaginary numbers you can still graph it on an imaginary-real plane. You still get it in the form of a+bi or a-bi.

Also I think that it would be mathematically incorrect to call the negative root of a number "undefined". It would be more correct to say that it is imaginary.

Also the common people know that if you divide by 0, it is undefined. I'm only stating what common people would get and understand. If you really want to argue about math, please, don't do it here and neither with me.

  26. * Meant cotangent of pi is undefined, not pi/2.

  27. You're exceptionally smart for a uh... what are you, 15 year-old? I'm impressed, I mean I know most of the nerds in my school (though I'm nowhere NEAR as good students as they are--I just got a 32% on my last statistics test probably because I've spent too much time hacking/working on this project) and even they probably didn't know that much at 15.

Okay, a few probably did, some geniuses are just insane >_> *stops completely derailing topic*

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah. If you must know I'm in a really rigorous school program (wiki:International Baccalaureate). And even better! It's not private school! :D

    Yes, legit, I am 15.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh, well I suppose that sort of explains why you know so much. XD
