Zak's Farewell

Hi everybody,

Zak here with some unfortunate news. I'll be leaving the translation team due to my own personal work and commitments. I worked on the graphics side of things for a little while, but can't really continue due to other priorities.

However, I'm 100% confident this project will see completion, as the team behind it are all talented and wonderful individuals.

To save Blazer some hassle, please use this blog post to apply for the newly opened Graphics Manipulation position. If you've got some skill or experience with Photoshop or any other image manip software, please comment below with your email address and Blazer will get in touch.

Regards,
Zak

  2. Blazer, you know i have a bit of skill in image manipulation, and if you don't know my email by now, lol. I can definately remove JP text from images, but my method of text inserting, simple and sloppy to say the least. (And my hacking ability, im not too sure of anymore so i won't be of TOO much help. Hopefully a little is enough though.)

and if you don't know my email, someonewhodied@yahoo.com

  3. hrmmmm. I'd love to volunteer for this as I'm fairly experienced with photoshop, but I'm not sure exactly what we'd need to do. Cover up old Japanese text and insert English?

  4. Yes, the English font has to look like the Japanese one and the background has to stay the same as well, just like a professional translation. There are also a couple minor palette restrictions but if you are an experienced graphic editor it's nothing complex, it's actually pretty basic, if no one is able to take on this job I'd probably just learn how to do it myself eventually...

@someonewhodied it's graphic editing with like PSP or Photoshop or GIMP or something, read the comment I just gave to Kiki for a little more explanation, are you sure that's what you're volunteering for? There's no hacking or ripping involved just to be clear.

  5. Ah, something like that I could probably do fairly easily. If no one else volunteers, I might be able to do it. xD Just hesitating a little 'cause of full-time work taking up most of my time...

  6. Eh if you don't have time... That'd def be a prob

  7. Well I have the time and would love to be part of a project like this. I have experience in Photoshop and Paint.Net. I do sprite for fun but I am good at doing pixel by pixel editting.

  8. oh. Just photoshop? if you can give me the fonts and provide the images that need shopping (Preferrably in .xcf or .png format, though i can work with any) i can do that.

  9. nah I can't give fonts, that's something you have to work out on your own. I can only give rips.

@The_kirby you may or may not hear from me later, depends on some other people I'm asking. In a way I hope I don't have to ask you but if no one else ends up being able to take on the job you'll get an e-mail from me XD
