What strength! But don't forget there are many guys like... huh

TheEnd

Since Vincent is hogging all the graphical text (send hate mail to we_still_love_you_vincent at gmail dot co dot uk) and Agromono is in charge of the main story, it seems I don't have anything left to translate. (I finished the BSFE episodes if anybody is curious.)

Oh well, I suppose I was only expected to translate the base convos anyway. Regardless, since all I have to do in the project now is bug the others when they get too creative, I don't think you'll be seeing more posts from me, here. So, take care and keep on fanboying (and fangirling) so the team will feel inspired and work hard! Or something.

Now, after five months translating, I'll need to find something else to do at work

  8. I have a quick question. Are the DLC chapters going to be patched in the game so that even those of us who can't go online will be able to play it?

    1. The so-called DLC chapters are inside the game already, they just aren't unlocked by default.

If we can't unlock them by default with hacking, we'll at least post a save file with them. I wouldn't like those chapters to go unplayed, either.

  15. hey ppl,

(i'm not going to be one of those noobs that just check-in every month and say that the project has no progress and demand lots of progress and stuff like that..... people like that r soooo bad)

there has been lotz of progress, but i think that the mainstory line and the graphical text are the only things that need to be done, shouldn't you guys be looking for another translator to speed up the base translations, or use google translate?

anyways, TheEnd was a pro that translated ALL the base convos., he needs some rest, happy retirement. :D

  16. i think that you should update the progress page

  17. ^will do

@Anonymous err, um, I'm not sure you totally grasp the situation. No offense. Essentially, all that's left is graphical text which is minor and is mainly a graphical matter as opposed to a translating manner, and the main story. For consistency sake we're keeping Agromono as the main story translator and TheEnd has finished pretty much everything else, including death quotes, base conversations, and more... so, with only one real thing left to be translated, we only need one translator.

And TheEnd is not leaving or retiring, he is still on the team, he will just not be readily translating things anymore. He'll still be helping Agromono on the side and help with localization since has more Japanese experience than most of the people on the team, I think.

(Arch was different; he had stopped contributing completely, even with the things he could have done, so yeah)

Anyway, TheEnd, praise is needed for a man like you. You have a lot of good qualities that I like and I'm really glad you joined the team. Seriously, I will always feel like I was working in your shadow just given how much you've done for this project compared to me. I could be replaced in an instant, but someone who was as fast, dedicated, and efficient as you--and of course did a great job, all as part of a free, volunteer project--is one out of several thousand, if not hundreds of thousands or millions. No, I'm not gay, I am just very blunt/straightforward, and I think my bluntness might be good this time, since I'm complimenting you. XP

  18. I just found out about this like a week ago, but...thanks :D I love playing fan-translated games, you just know it was such a labor of love. And it's cool that I can get to play something I wouldn't have access to without other dedicated fans.

Also it'll be fun to bother my friend that I get to play a fire emblem game he doesn't >:)

  19. If you get bored at work, you wouldn't want to tackle another fan translation project would you :P? I'm sure there are more than enough people out there would would absolutely love to see some more games translated (May I suggest the second Tingle game on DS? Or may I not?). Or you could just rest for the time being. You more than deserve it I guess, since you did that for our sakes, and for free too!

Thank you so much, all of you guys working on this. So looking forward to the completion of your project :). がんばれ!

    1. There are several issues that make it difficult for me to find a project I could join, though, from my unwillingness to deal with random people (you never know how reliable they are) to how much I care about the game being translated. :(

  20. Hah, I'm surprised you agreed to this group, assuming you knew I was on it, given how bad my reputation in the Fire Emblem community is.

Then again, everyone loves Vincent, don't they? So that beats everything. XD

    3. I'm only really active in one particular thread in Serenes and didn't care about the patch (since I didn't need it), so it shouldn't be surprising really

Meanwhile, I've known Vincent during all the time I've been in the fandom - quite literally, since he joined FESS like three days after I did

His 8-years-old e-mail subtly calling me an idiot is my treasure
