Resignation

Aveyn Knight

I figured I should post this sooner or later.

I've resigned from my post on the Fire Emblem 12: Translation Project. Unfortunately, time and other duties have prevented me from continuing my work on the project. However, don't worry, because the project is in good hands

Oh wait, what? I-I can't resign?

WHAT?! Blazer resigned before me and there's nobody left if I resign?

Sadly, because of personal circumstances, Blazer has quit the Fire Emblem 12: Translation Project and I have succeeded his position as project lead.

I'd like to express my thanks to Blazer for taking the time to put this project together and the many hours he put in to organize everything, improve/fix the files and make sure the project kept running smoothily. Blazer's done a lot that he fails to give himself credit for.

This is what Blazer said in our top-secret HQ:

I wish you good luck with your future plans.

  9. Everyone here is going to miss you, Blazer. If you're reading this, I hope you have good fortune in all of your endeavors, and I hope that whatever circumstances forced you to quit, that they are resolved in the best way possible.

I actually meant to make this when I came on just now and then lulz, it's already done

    well, less work for me

But when did I even become project lead? O_O I always felt like it was truly a team project (I mean, once we started up the -serious- translation, anyway) =|

But yeah it's true I can't put forth much more into this (I've pretty much quit forums and most of my online endeavors, minus a couple super-important things) and so I don't feel that I should continue to be a part of the team when I can't do the simple jobs assigned to me.

Vincent is amazing and he will cover for me very well, and then some.

And to the team, I didn't say this earlier in my super-dramatic post, but I will always be with you guys in spirit. ;) [s]I still haven't read the responses to those posts... I told myself I wouldn't sign onto those forums for a while :|[/s]

@TheEnd oh I know you will

I trust you guys more than I do a lot of my offline friends

If I felt that me leaving would truly have any significant impact on the success of this project, I probably wouldn't leave. But you guys will probably do better without me just given my inability to commit to this and get the work done--i.e. my proofing was taking too long, I wasn't managing things well, etc.--and I hate holding other people back is the real issue.

    tl;dr

not gonna hold you guys back anymore

I'll e-mail Vincent regarding a bunch of details later [s]as soon as I remember what his e-mail is[/s]

the -only- thing I'll continue to really do is manage the paypal account unless I can figure out how get rid of the connection it has to my bank account because I trust you guys but not enough to let you have the ability to withdraw money from my bank account XD

okaaaay I spent like 10 minutes typing this and clearly from the quality of my typing I need to go to bed

It's not a big deal though, I'm not dying, just managing my priorities, Fire Emblem is awesome and so are you guys but ultimately I am just the typical selfish kid trying to do well in life and no one can make my life good except me so I'm just doing what I can to take care of myself and not hold back others

and I'll see you guys around, I mean, I think I'm a bigger fan than all of you peeps, I'm such a fanatic I -worked- on the translation--if dat's not fan dedication, I don't know what is :P ;)

    take it easy~

    4. Blazer going by that last para'... are you now going to turn into one of us and start harassing them for release dates?

Good luck with it all and hope you do-do well in life! And even as an outsider to the team, it was obvious you pushed things forward rather than held things back!

    5. ^yes

jk I don't have time to harass people

  21. Too bad for Blazer left the project before done, but, so long someone it's in his place to keep the project working, It'll be just fine, keep working!

  22. I seriously commend you Blazer, for finishing TU/The Last Promise, and bringing this so far, before dropping out on us. Anybody else would've abandoned all of their work a long time ago, so thanks for pulling through. You're pretty much the only person who has completed so much without bailing. I know I'll see you around again someday.

  23. Sad day! I can't really blame Blazer though. He's been working on this for a really long time. And recent Blazer appreciation (this post's comments aside) has either been demanding a patch/release date or wildly inappropriate (Curse you, random homo-erotic Anon!!!).
Thanks for everything you've done Blazer. It doesn't sound like you appreciate yourself just how important you've been. Good luck with life!

    ReplyDelete
  24. So...you're going to kill us all?

Anywho, thanks a lot for doing all you have, Blazer. It really doesn't feel like you're resigning though, considering you've been contributing to the project up until now at which point it's almost ready. It's more like now that it's nearly over, you're just pulling up a pew to watch the endgame.

  25. ...Great, now I feel sad.
I... am at a loss for words.
...AND I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING FUNNY TO SAY!
