Make SURE that they are not just things like stats, screenshots of early game, etc.; in short, I want a nice montage of various screenshots that show lots of different things and different parts of the game (beginning, middle, end, credits) and some short clips to supplement them.
It's not urgent or anything but it'd be a very nice touch, I think. Thanks. ^_^

The reason why you're getting errcode=4 is because of your DAT files. RetroGameFan's latest update does not include the very recent FE12 Eng patch in it's DAT files. People have made requests for FE 12 with the recent patch to be in the next RGF Multi Cart Update, so until then, you'll have wait. I have the same problem too, by the way :<
Hopefully made my last update to the patch just now--if you're one of those XP or Mac users with issues, please re-download it and read the instructions file and try again and with some patience you should get it to work.

Just decided to report in... I just finished all 8 prologue chapters, got to chapter 3 on the main story and completed the first 3 bs fire emblem chapters! THIS IS SO AWESOME! I LOVE YOU GUYS FOR MAKING THIS!!! T.T
I was kind of expecting this tomorrow as some sort of Thanksgiving gift... but getting this patch sooner is way better.
Anyway, as one of the probably many who followed this translation from day 1 (that being the menu patch) I say, 'thank you for everything you've done' with all my might, I would shout it at my screen... but you wouldn't hear it

Thanks for making the patch. I really am surprised at how well this went, a year an a half is REALLY good speed for a fan translation (I've seen official translations take longer).
I have one question. How is Frey there during the Prologue. That prologue is after Shadow Dragon and Frey should still be gone shouldn't he? I thought he only came back later in the story.
So in other words I need to get further and get Frey back and find out what's going on? I'd say that was a bad thing but well I'm playing and it won't take long to get to that point.

Whoo, it'd be great if we got the big guns back into FE. I'm hoping Awakening is going to (sorry for the terrible pun) reawaken fans' interest in the series.
They work on DeSmuMe and No$GBA. However if you use a flashcart, you're gonna need to edit the usrcheat.dat a bit so that it recognizes the patched file as the same FE12 game. It's not all that hard, but typing out instructions here for flashcart users is a bit cumbersome and not many would read it.
So... I just laughed real hard when I make it to the Tutorial chapter 5..... When Merric First joins the party "You have green hair like me".... I probably laughed harder than I shoulda really.
Just like to say, fantastic job guys and thank you very much for all the time and effort you put into getting this out there for fans of the series unable to play it.

The payoff right now may seem small, but an awful lot of people who aren't even born yet will end up being pretty damn grateful.

ReplyDeleteThey work on DeSmuMe and No$GBA. However if you use a flashcart, you're gonna need to edit the usrcheat.dat a bit so that it recognizes the patched file as the same FE12 game. It's not all that hard, but typing out instructions here for flashcart users is a bit cumbersome and not many would read it.

ReplyDeleteThe Japanese codes that are out there WORK, you just have to change the GAME ID in R4 Cheat Code Editor. The All items in convoy code is great.
