I've had people tell me they can access the Wi-Fi features with the translation patch, so it shouldn't be an issue hopefully.

Japanese people on Wi-Fi might be "WTF" when they see your My Unit have English letters in their name though.

My main concern is whether or not Nintendo will be able to find out if you log onto Nintendo WiFi Connection from a ROM. Also, a 3DS can block you from WiFi if you have a hacked game (pretty sure a ROM with a translation patch counts as hacked).

Yeah, don't worry, I'll still be translating all the online-related text (and I think I've done it all actually, just need somebody to test it). Although there may be one part that I'll have to leave untranslated, but there's a good reason for that and you won't be missing out on anything.

I wont care for the wi-fi functions. Multiplayer battle? doubt anyone is ever gonna going to use that. Online shop? does it have some special items to offer? if so, i would consider to use it cause im a collector guy. Otherwise, i wouldn't care. Loaning units? same as with the online shop.

Personally, i dont think it's worth bothering implementing the wi-fi function. Just get the translation done. ^^

However it does bring up the need for the patch to be stalled if online capability has to come in; we have to translate and proof the downloadable maps as well.
