EDIT: This was my last post as a member of the team (which I'm now editing accordingly), it's been fun. (I plan on coming back here for some nostalgia at some point. The experience has really been too good. I wish I had time to keep going. I will truly miss the team since they're all awesome people. But that's okay.)

DeleteYou're just being a little pessimistic since it isn't released yet. It takes time just like the Mother 3 fan translation it took two years to complete that. This started two years ago and the looks of the progress they made the patch may be released this year or early next year. Though I could be wrong.

The Mother 3 project was headed by some really talented and experienced guys, dealing with a fairly complex game. A work of that caliber takes time; I don't think this project compares, looking at the other fan translations from the series.

and imagine trying to make sure it's all translated properly and you're writing for what feels like at least 70 supposedly unique characters properly
and we're not all super-talented (well, everyone but me is)
and also there is "circumstance" which is actually a big factor that could probably account for up to 6 months (i.e. give or take 3 of the actual release date, whenever that is :\)

DeleteThe story of FE13 revolves around time travel and parallel worlds, which allow characters from every game in the series to return as downloadable/Spotpass content.

It does, just like any other rom patch, as far as I'm aware. If you download the initial version of the patch you'll see.

ReplyDeleteAs has been stated repeatedly, they won't release any more patches until they're done. Releasing a demo wastes time that could be better spent working on the final version. A previous vote established that the community would rather see the final version as soon as possible than a number of incomplete betas in the meantime. So no, you won't be getting any bones. Sorry.
