Zak and I have been working our butts off, rest assured, Zak has done an incredible job with these menus IMO, the crap he has to deal with is pretty hard but he manages fine every time. Just gotta give my props to him. :)
Just a notice, most of the team is busy due to school/college/personal issues/whatever, progress isn't going to be as fast as it was during the rest of the summer. In fact I can't think of a member who isn't busy right now so you guys are just going to have to be patient.
Oh and we are looking for an extra translator to help lighten the load of Snow, our main dialog translator. Please e-mail me directly at smashfire17@gmail.com if you'd like to help and have plenty of experience and time, or know someone that does. Thank you.
Until next time~
EDIT: Before anyone asks again, the title text at the top of each screenshot WILL be translated, just not at the moment. We just do things as we can, so we'll get to everything when we do.
nice work as always. rooting for u guys!
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROM_hacking
ReplyDeletethis website might help u with all your problems
whats with the *facepalm* blazer
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but shane's reply was SO random, I had to laugh loud xD
ReplyDeleteScreens are looking great, guys, top percent!
^That, linking me to a Wikipedia page on ROM hacking is not going to solve all my problems... >_> Just how simple do people think hacking is, that Wikipedia would have all the answers... XD (I mean Wikipedia is awesome but most of the crap we do you can't even find information for online, AKA we figure it out ourselves)
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL @ Shane
ReplyDeleteo great 2 shanes anyway blazer those 2 translater i told you about dont have that much free time so they cant help you
ReplyDeletehay guys I'd like to start learning how to translate this. If you could tell me some advice or a tutorial to get me started, so I can help you out email me at Nefeariftw@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'd help with translating myself, but I'd probably take a long time to translate things, and school just started up for me. But if you'll still have me or anything, even if I only have a level 4 in the JLPT, let me know at ravan5019@hotmail.com and I'll do my best to help out!
ReplyDelete@shane OK
ReplyDelete@Anonymous1 um there is no tutorial for this, and translate as in the hacking part or the Japanese-English part? Well I can't really help you with either... hacking part is complex and there's not much point in telling you, and I can't translate from Japanese to English myself, and again, there wouldn't be much point in teaching you... *shrug* sorry
@Anonymous2 Sorry, we're kind of looking for fast people. We want to be a fast translation team. XD
Ah, thanks for letting me know, I'm glad that you responded back pretty quickly with this! I hope you find a translator that suits your needs soon, though if you don't find one, my kinda bad offer is still waiting! XD Good luck with the translation project!
ReplyDeleteare there any good videos to get the rom and emulator, and a complete guide on how to get them both working.. and are compatible with this translator.. Im not computer dumb, but im new to all these emulator things, thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteno, you download it and there's a text explanation, that's about it... *shrug* maybe someone else can make a video, it's not worth my time, sorry
ReplyDeletewhy are they waiting so long to make an english version, makes me so angry >:[ its been a year + a month and they don't even have a date, do they even plan on releasing it? (i don't expect you to have the answers, just raging)
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, chances are they at least know that the fans have taken matters into their own hands, you'd think they'd shut us up and at least announce it, but nothing. I'm disappointed as much as you guys, believe me I could spend this time in so many better ways (no offense)
ReplyDeleteif it does not come out at winter then its not going to have a english release.I know that its been over a year since it came out in japan but you got to remeber it has like around 3 times the amount of dialogue then shadow dragon and shadow dragon was released in 6 month so after 18 months from the japanese release and its still not out then it will have no english release date.
ReplyDeletethere is also going to be a fire emblem game for the wii U in 2012
thank goodness, wii one was soo much longer, which was amazing. Also. I've downloaded the patch and stuff, but unlike in the video of your "progress" under the videos section, my text speech isn't in english. I'm pretty sure i have the most recent update since i got it yesterday. It is some english though, like selections and important instructions.. but none of the talking is in english, like when you are creating your character if its boy or girl yada yada.
ReplyDelete@Shane:
ReplyDeleteProof please? Even serenes doesn't seem to have any news about this.
"o great 2 shanes" ... AHAH! This guy is really the best.
ReplyDeletehi blazer,
ReplyDeletei'm pretty interested in your translation thing going on here....
how do you join the translation team? (i'm fluent in japanese and english)
but, not very good with coding,(well... if this is different from programming wiibrew....),
so, does the translaters 1) do anything with the software part or 2) recieve japanese text in a file and translate it based on their whimsical knowledge of japanese?
If "2)" then, I could probably help out your team, but if its "1)" then i'm not so sure.....
P.S. : I not really that bad of a speller offline, and , my school started so i could get portions done every other day and a bit done on sat and sun.

LaguzEater
Shane spreading random rumors, VincentASM (creator of SF) keeps up with the latest Fire Emblem news, if it's not on Serenes Forest it's nothing. *shrug*
ReplyDelete@kbtennis *again*, that's just a demonstration video, the patch only includes some menus. demo video just shows what future patches will be like.
@LaguzEater sorry but we're looking for a translator with a bit better knowledge of English... no offense but your typing isn't all that excellent and we are kind of looking for a top-notch translation here as well, which includes knowledge of both English AND Japanese. Thank you for your offer though, it is appreciated.
Wow this looks great so far and its great to know you keep so on top of the blog and keeping people up to date. I can't wait till the translation is complete keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteblazer its not a rumor its been told to release on 2012 on the wii u and there is more than just that there is going to be marios games on it
ReplyDeleteproject cafe its called
^ Here is a example of a child arguing on the internet when they don't get the results they expected. They make a statement that blows up in their face, they get called out on it, then they make a 'clarification' post that consists of lies to try to justify what they stated previously. These 'clarification' posts almost never contain much truth within them and even attempting them as damage control should be avoided whenever possible.
ReplyDelete@shane stop talking out your ass if it were real what you said you would of linked something to back it up but you linked nothing what so ever.
ReplyDeleteI just don't understand, how dumb do you think I am, to just believe random crap? >_> Maybe if I were a total idiot I'd believe you, but man, even an idiot would probably doubt you...
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I totally agree with you Blazer and a lot of other people here. It is not because Serenes Forest doesn't talk about this that it is false, but still, I never heard of a Fire emblem that SURELY comes on Wii U in 2012, those are only rumors. Besides, even for the 3DS we don't even know if there will be a fire emblem, of course, there are chances that a fire emblem will be on it, but still, it's not sure yet, those are only rumors for now...
ReplyDeleteAnd Shane, next time you say something like this, show us some proof... Because, here, and it's too bad to a certain extent, you just look like a pathetic guy... And this is probably why you got some answers like the one of Jiero.
@Escorian
ReplyDeletehttp://nintendoscene.com/2011/05/15/project-cafe-leaked-games-list/
theres your proof
Yup. Project Cafe = Wii U
ReplyDeleteStill, as said at the bottom of that list, it's not official, and it's just a rumor.
So, you basically proved your rumor with another rumor :x
"fire emblem cafe" never seen fire emblem people eating.
ReplyDelete@Shane
ReplyDeleteEchoing what Anonymous said, it's just a rumour. Actually, I believe we can classify it as a debunked rumour now, because at the top of the page it says this "upcoming games that Nintendo are scheduled to show case at the E3 expo in June!", but none of these games were shown at this year's E3 (except maybe one or two obvious guesses).
kbtennis
ReplyDeletewell of course fe characters are not going to be eating in a cafe just change cafe to wii U
Aveyn Knight
ReplyDeletenintendo sure like hiding their stuff untill like a week from its release date for the english people
@Shane
ReplyDelete*facepalm*
Oh, come on.
"well of course fe characters are not going to be eating in a cafe just change cafe to wii U "
lolwut? Are you actually serious about this post, or am I dreaming?
"nintendo sure like hiding their stuff untill like a week from its release date for the english people "
This is a Japanese FE. Why would Ninty hide it from "english people"? How is this a reply to Aveyn Knight? Why are you being such an obnoxious idiot?
Shane, stop spreading stupid rumors from May that have no validity, are outdated, have no back-up, etc., if you don't then I'm just going to be indifferent and start deleting all of your comments
ReplyDeletetl;dr stop or I'm going to be a jerk
Good work, keep it up guys!
